Kylie Kelce has revealed the boundary she set for her daughters’ grandparents, including mother-in-law Donna Kelce, but the surprising part is how little resistance she encountered.

The “Not Gonna Lie” host, who shares four daughters with retired NFL star Jason Kelce, explained that she was clear about one particular kind of contact with her first baby.

Kylie says everyone respected the request.

Kylie Kelce Reveals The No-Kissing Rule She Set For Grandparents

During an October 26 bonus installment of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kylie answered a listener who wondered whether she had needed to establish boundaries with her parents or Jason’s parents after becoming a mother.

“I asked people not to kiss her face or her head or her hands and everybody listened,” she said.

The request concerned eldest daughter Wyatt, now 7. They also share Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 19 months.

Kylie praised the adults around her for respecting her instructions.

She explained that the grandparents already raised their own adult children and understood that their present role was different.

They could be affectionate, supportive grandparents without taking over parenting decisions.

“Squad understands the assignment,” she said, expressing gratitude that the family worked so well together.

The podcaster explained that the grandparents recognized their opportunity to enjoy spending time with the children rather than directing how they should be raised.

Kylie considered herself fortunate that the arrangement required so little negotiation.

She emphasized that, apart from a few specific precautions, she and Jason had rarely needed to establish additional boundaries with their parents.

Wyatt’s First Year Brought Another Set Of Restrictions

The situation became more complicated when COVID-19 disrupted family life in 2020.

Kylie recalled that Wyatt was around six months old at the onset of the pandemic, leaving the new parents to deal with an unfamiliar public-health emergency while caring for a baby.

Calling herself a “germaphobe,” Kylie said they quickly became careful about visits and travel.

The couple restricted their household’s exposure to unnecessary risks, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding the virus at the time.

Those additional precautions reflected the family’s concern about keeping their young daughter safe.

Outside that unusual period, Kylie explained, their extended family remained understanding of the couple’s parenting decisions.

Donna has offered her own insight into how the arrangement works.

During a November 2025 appearance on “Not Gonna Lie,” she joked about letting her grandchildren enjoy themselves while respecting their parents’ decisions.

“Let them do whatever they want,” Donna said, before adding, “Within reason.”

She explained that she regularly checks with Kylie before allowing certain activities, rather than assuming she can make every decision herself.

The grandmother also stressed that her role was to shower the girls with love, not constantly discipline them.

Kylie, in turn, praised Donna’s approach, particularly her balance between bringing treats and giving the children her undivided attention.

The girls affectionately call Donna “Dee Dee,” and Kylie described their excitement whenever a visit from their grandmother was mentioned.

Kylie Kelce Also Relies On Her Parents For Hands-On Help

The parents-and-grandparents dynamic isn’t just about restrictions.

Earlier this month, Kylie appeared on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast and explained that she and Jason employ a nanny during regular working hours, but not as a live-in caregiver.

As Us Weekly reported, Kylie acknowledged that balancing their busy schedules would be difficult without childcare assistance.

She also said her own parents live about 15 minutes away and provide essential support as the couple manages two busy careers and four young children.

The couple also spends time with Jason’s parents. Kylie said maintaining those relationships models the family values they want to teach their daughters.

Her comments highlight how much the couple values extended family involvement, even as they establish boundaries around parenting.

Kylie Kelce’s Strictest Boundaries Now Extend Beyond The Family

As the Kelces have become more recognizable, Kylie’s concerns have expanded from physical contact and family visits to public exposure.

During an October 7 appearance on Tay Lautner’s “The Squeeze” podcast, she explained that she used to share ordinary family photographs before her own public following grew.

The turning point came after Jason’s 2023 documentary included the children. Kylie concluded that audiences would not necessarily respect limits on their own, so she had to establish them herself.

As The Blast previously reported, Kylie now avoids posting her daughters’ faces on social media, although she still speaks about motherhood and sometimes allows brief appearances on family podcasts.

She has also ruled out featuring the girls in paid sponsorships.

Explaining her reasoning, Kylie emphasized that her children’s safety would always take priority over public interest in the family.

She also expressed concern about the permanent nature of online content, noting that her daughters could eventually discover years of photographs, videos, and conversations documenting their childhoods.

For Kylie, the goal is to ensure that her children have some control over how much of their lives become public.
