Crews are battling a large fire at a commercial building in the city of Commerce Wednesday night.
The third-alarm fire was reported at the 100’ x 100’ property on the 2000 block of Davie Avenue around 6:45 p.m.
There are reports that the building may be housing e-bikes powered by lithium-ion batteries, but L.A. County fire officials have not confirmed that detail.
The roof appears to be destroyed as heavy smoke is seen billowing into the sky and flames engulf the property. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and prevent the fire from spreading into the building next door.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Sky5 is overhead. This developing story will be updated.
