Whoopi Goldberg announced at the start of Tuesday’s show that medical staff was on alert in the audience. “So today, we are leaving nothing to chance. There’s a doctor, a nurse, on standby right over there. We’ve got paramedics on call and there’s an ambulance,” she told the audience as the camera panned to the medical workers in the New York City studio.
The View host revealed why the medics were there. Despite feeling sick last week, they weren’t there for Joy Behar. “There’s an ambulance ready to go outside, with our audience packed with pregnant women,” Whoopi Goldberg revealed. She and her co-hosts threw an elaborate baby shower for Alyssa Farah Griffin.
