Her life completely changed after leaving the show. She made the shocking announcement in 2024 that she and her husband were divorcing. The news came amid speculation that she had been unfaithful.
However, the divorce was put on hold when she was diagnosed with brain tumors. The former reality star had four tumors removed during emergency surgery in 2025. Teddi Mellencamp previously spoke out about being diagnosed with skin cancer. The cancer metastasized to her brain and lungs. Despite the Stage 4 diagnosis, she recently shared a hopeful update about her health.

She revealed that she’s been on multiple dates with an “older” man and it’s going well so far. The RHOBH alum said that her new man is “pretty good” about her health issues.
“He’s a relatively positive and logical person in general,” she gushed. Teddi Mellencamp declined to reveal her boyfriend’s name, but gave him the pseudonym “Derek.”

Things are going well for Teddi Mellencamp and “Derek.” However, there’s one issue that’s come up. A lack of intimacy. She has three children with her estranged husband. They co-parent. Her new beau has children, too, though they are older than hers.
“Like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base? I have kids in my house. He has kids in his house,” she joked about the struggles of finding alone time in a house full of children. But ultimately, she said that was better for the relationship because they had to take things slow, something she isn’t used to.
