Fans have been blasting TLC’s new series Suddenly Amish as fake and disrespectful. Yet, the cast has claimed that they were there for very real and genuine purposes. Now, the home that they stayed at in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has allegedly been exposed as an Airbnb. Keep reading for more details on what is behind this house.
Suddenly Amish House Exposed As Airbnb?
When it was announced that Suddenly Amish would be coming to TLC, viewers questioned the new reality series. They did not believe it was real and felt that true Amish would never allow cameras into their community. There was so much that seemed staged, so it was purely for entertainment. Of course, the cast claimed that they were there for the experience and to really challenge themselves. Whether or not that was true will remain unknown. The cast had to live with host families, but that seems to have been fabricated.

Someone who allegedly resides near the house shared this information:
- I actually live a few minutes from where this was filmed and discovered the house they are staying at is a vacation rental. There’s a full bathroom in the house as well. A lot of what they’re doing is for the cameras, sadly. But that’s Hollywood babyyy
This is not hard to believe, given that Emma, who is one of the key Amish cast members, has been living in the “English” world for some time. She has shown herself in regular clothing and makeup as if she has no NDA from TLC.

Suddenly Amish fans were not surprised by this at all. They had seen some suspicious things around the home that had led them to believe it was for filming purposes. One noted that there were cars in the background. Although they felt that they could belong to the crew, it was still odd, especially for an Amish family.
Welcome To ‘Hollywood’
Many reality shows are heavily produced, and scenes are redone to get the right angles and reactions. However, with Suddenly Amish, it would be believed that this is a sincere portrayal. Unfortunately, more is coming out to prove that this is all false. After the revelation that the home is likely a vacation rental, viewers chimed in. As aforementioned, they were not all that surprised:
- When Emma left, it never made sense that from the beginning it was called “her house”. James was supposedly staying at “her house” because he came from another community. So when she left “her house”, it seemed so odd like they never accounted for us remembering this little detail.
