News has come out that Anika Rashaun, who appeared on seasons of The Real World and The Challenge, has passed away. A friend of the MTV alum shared details of the tragic news. Since then, some of her co-stars have also paid tribute to Anika.
Anika Rashaun Passed Away At The Age Of 34, A Few Weeks Prior To Her 35th Birthday
Rashaun was introduced to many after appearing on Real World Seattle: Bad Blood in 2016. Following this, she went on to appear on The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions.
Tragically, news has come out of Rashaun’s passing. This came out over a year after being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She was 34 years old at the time of her death.
Rashaun’s time of death was reportedly on October 1, 2026. This was a few weeks prior to her 35th birthday on October 22, 2026.
Anika’s best friend, Tiara Ramos, shared the tragic news in a tribute posted to Substack. At the time, she shared, “Last summer, my best friend and sister was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Her diagnosis was a shock. Despite her mother having breast cancer years earlier, she was never identified as high-risk or told by her doctors to prioritize mammograms. That was one of the many failures she experienced within the medical system during her time battling cancer. But that is a story for another day.
A Few Of Anika’s Co-Stars Have Penned Tributes To Their Fallen Friend
After leaving the show, Anika became a dating coach and a matchmaker. She and Tiara co-hosted a podcast together in 2025: Breast Friends Forever: BFFs Battling BC, where they talked about their breast cancer diagnoses, with Tiara completing chemotherapy back in February. In addition, prior to her passing, Anika had married Kyle Walker-Rehn.
Since the news of her passing has come to light, some of Anika’s co-stars have shared tributes in honor of her. Her co-star, Theo King-Bradley, wrote on Instagram: “I’ve been doing everything else to keep my mind off the fact that you’re not here. I’ve genuinely been sad as hell since hearing you passed. I’m sad I didn’t get to see you one last time.”

Theo continued, “But the last time and conversation we had with each other I can cherish and play it back in my mind to smile.” Theo has appeared on The Real World and The Challenge alongside Anika.
Marie Roda, who competed alongside Anika on The Challenge, also shared, “Anika, you were always a bright light. Passionate, intelligent, beautiful, and kind. Rest in the sweetest peace angel.” Roda also included a heart emoji in honor of Rashaun.
