The 2026-2027 college football schedule is slowly coming into focus for NBC and Peacock, and now fans can start marking their calendars for some of the biggest games from the Big Ten and Notre Dame.
The Big Ten coverage on NBC and Peacock kicks off Saturday, August 29, with the USC Trojans taking on the San Jose State Spartans in Week 0. NBC’s Big Ten Saturday Night starts up in earnest the next week, on September 5, when new Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham makes his debut with the Wolverines in a game against in-state rival, the Western Michigan Broncos. Whittingham, after spending more than two decades at Utah, is aiming to get the Wolverines back into national championship contention after the team finished 9-4 finish last year. The climb starts live on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports will also have a special Week 1 college football presentation on Sunday, September 6, with a doubleheader on NBC and Peacock. Catch Washington hosting longtime rival Washington State at 4 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, then stick around for Notre Dame’s season opener against Wisconsin in the Shamrock Series at Lambeau Field in primetime at 7:30 p.m.
Week 2 will feature the classic Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series rivalry as the Iowa Hawkeyes host the Iowa State Cyclones on Big Ten Saturday Night on NBC and Peacock.

Week 3 on Saturday, September 19 is positively loaded, with a quadruple-header on tap across NBC and Peacock. The action kicks off with Wisconsin taking on Eastern Michigan at 12:30 p.m. on Peacock, followed by Illinois vs. Southern Illinois at 2 p.m. on Peacock. The early afternoon sees the defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers vs. Western Kentucky at 4 p.m. on Peacock, all leading to a primetime NBC game featuring Notre Dame vs. Michigan State, as the two storied programs renew their historic rivalry.
