In her personal life, Kim was married to Daniel Toce from 2001 to 2003. In 2011, she married former Atlanta Falcon linebacker Kroy Biermann. The two separated in 2023, filing for divorce in both May and August of that year. The two share four biological children together, with Kroy having legally adopted Kim’s two older daughters.
In recent years, fans have followed the ensuing discourse between the couple. Recently, court documents have shared that Kim has been ordered to seek therapy before she can see her children again.
As shared by TMZ, a Georgia judge told Kim that the kids will stay with Kroy from April 3 until she finishes the necessary treatment. This will include four parent therapy sessions.
According to the order, the earliest date Kim can be reunited with her kids is April 13. Kroy had filed court docs demanding sole custody of their four minor kids the week before.
Kim Previously Released A Statement Concerning Claims Kroy Has Made About Her
During his filing, Kroy had claimed that Kim missed previous court-ordered therapy sessions. It was also claimed that she had been out of the country for around two weeks.
Kroy also claimed that she had only seen the kids one night. It was further alleged that one child had been bitten by a dog that night. He demanded that the current joint custody deal be changed effective immediately.
For her part, Kim previously spoke out about these claims with the outlet. At the time, she shared, “These accusations are completely false and nothing more than a deliberate attempt by Kroy to defame my character. I spent five weeks away working on two TV shows to support my family and make sure my children are cared for—something I will never apologize for.”
In her statement, Kim continued, “I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am. I will not stay silent, the truth is on my side, and it will come to light—no matter how hard anyone tries to bury it.”
