How Does Love Island Games Work? All the Details, From Bombshells to Challenges

Fan-favorite Islanders from all over the world will battle it out once again for a chance at love and a whopping $100,000 cash prize on Love Island Games Season 2.

Hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by Iain Stirling, the second season of Love Island Games features an international cast of Islanders from previous seasons of the reality dating series representing the UK, USA, France, Malta, Belgium, the Netherlands, and more. You’ll see plenty of recognizable faces, including Chris Seeley, Andreina Santos, and Charlie Georgiou from Love Island USA Season 7, competing in jaw-dropping challenges as they also try to form romantic connections.

So how exactly does the Peacock Original spinoff series work? And are bombshells part of the competition? Read on for all the details you need to know, including an exciting new update to the Love Island Games format.

How does Love Island Games work?

Similar to the original Love Island reality series, Love Island Games is set in a gorgeous villa in Fiji and features couplings, challenges, and dumpings. There is also a $100,000 cash prize on the line. However, there is a much bigger emphasis on the episodes’ challenges on Love Island Games. In fact, how well (or not so well) the Islanders do during those challenges plays a big role in whether they’ll advance or be eliminated from the competition.

Love Island Games Season 2 will begin with 14 fan-favorite Islanders (seven girls, seven boys) from around the world. After they make their sexy entrances into the villa, they’ll go on to partake in both team and couples’ challenges — all while looking for love.

“You’ll be glad to know you’re still gonna be coupling up and getting to know each other on a romantic level. But this time, in your couples, you’ll also be competing against each other in challenges,” Season 1 host Maya Jama explained during the very first episode of Love Island Games. “And those challenges will determine everything, from who you couple up with to who stays in the villa and who gets dumped.”

Throughout Love Island Games Season 1, the Islanders competed in a wild assortment of challenges, ranging from obstacle courses to tug-of-war battles. And don’t worry, the challenges also introduce plenty of sexy components and shocking twists and turns. Ultimately, the results of those challenges will influence what happens next for the Islanders.

But this time around, just like Love Island USA, all of the action will be happening in real time and viewers will get to have their voices heard.

Love Island Games Season 2 introduces audience votes

The cast watches Jack Fowler and Justine Ndiba make out passionately on Love Island Games Episode 119.

That’s right. The second season of Love Island Games will not only air in real time, but viewers will also get to vote for their favorite couples on the Love Island USA app. Those votes will determine which Islanders will recouple, who will remain in the villa, and who will be eliminated from the competition.

To be the first to know when a voting window is coming up and closing, be sure to turn your notifications on for the Love Island USA app. You can also get the latest updates on Love Island Games directly on the app all season long.

Does Love Island Games have bombshells?

Yes! Bombshells are also part of Love Island Games, and sometimes they’re even the Love Island exes of cast members already in the villa. So viewers can expect to see a number of “dramatic arrivals” make their way to Fiji as the season airs.

Two new bombshells (also Love Island alums) entered the villa at the end of the premiere episode of Love Island Games Season 1, and it was as steamy as you’d expect. After all, Love Island fans are no stranger to a blindfolded makeout session.

Just as bombshells do on the OG Love Island series, they’re bound to bring more drama, test connections, and simply shake things up on Love Island Games, too.

Hoda Kotb Opens Up About Emotional Reunion with TODAY’s Sheinelle Jones

Hoda Kotb Opens Up About Emotional Reunion with TODAY’s Sheinelle Jones

Fans are buzzing over Hoda Kotb’s September 9 visit to TODAY, but it’s her sweet words about Sheinelle Jones that have hit everyone in the feels.

The TODAY reunion, featuring Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Carson Daly, and Al Roker, was a magical moment in its own right — who doesn’t love seeing Kotb on TV in the mornings?! — but Kotb speaking about Jones to her former colleagues may have been the most memorable part of it all.

“I just said this to Sheinelle, she’s changing lives just by being exactly who she is,” Kotb said.

On May 23, Jones lost her husband, Uche Ojeh, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She recently made her return to TODAY after an extended absence, sitting down for a discussion with Guthrie. During the interview, Jones said what she’s going through is “a beautiful nightmare.”

Kotb remembered what she told Jones when they reunited.

“Three of my friends called immediately after [Guthrie and Jones] were talking and said they felt forever changed after listening to that conversation,” Kotb recalled. “So I was saying, you don’t have to make any effort. Just be. And you’re doing what you’re doing.”

“So anyway, I love you,” Kotb added. “That was amazing.”

Jenna Bush Hager invites Hoda Kotb back to TODAY

During her September 9 visit, Kotb updated her former colleagues and fans on her life these days. She’s traded in her TODAY-era wakeup time of 3:30 a.m. for a much more manageable 5:30 a.m. — and she’s hard at work building her recently-launched wellness brand, Joy 101.

“My new business is doing its thing, I got a new book… I don’t know, it’s just a different life. But it’s funny how easily you can find yourself starting something new,” Kotb explained. “I miss you guys like crazy. I miss everybody. Being here made my heart hurt a little bit.”

“Well, you can always come back,” Hager said, who’s still looking for a permanent co-host on TODAY with Jenna & Friends after Kotb departed in January.

“Jenna’s still searching for friends,” Guthrie added.

How to Watch Premier League Matchweek 4: West Ham United vs. Tottenham & More on NBC

How to Watch Premier League Matchweek 4: West Ham United vs. Tottenham & More on NBC

After a brief FIFA international break to allow EPL players to compete with their national teams, the 2025-2026 Premier League season rolls into its fourth round of competition this weekend with all the pitch-perfect action available across NBC, USA Network, and Peacock.

Before we jump into the key matchups, like Saturday’s fiery clash between West Ham and Tottenham on NBC, or Sunday’s historic headliner of the 197th Manchester Derby between Man United and Man City on Peacock, here’s where we are after three weeks.

Now armed with Alexander Isak, Arne Slot’s first-place Liverpool side is poised for another title run, especially after Dominik Szoboszlai’s sublime free-kick sent a formidable Arsenal squad packing from Anfield. Elsewhere, Fabian Hurzeler outmanaged Pep Guardiola in the Citizens’ shocking upset to Brighton, while Everton notched their second consecutive victory through a hard-fought battle with the Wolves. Unlike West Ham, who rebounded from a crushing defeat with a 3-0 shutout over Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa continues to falter as the only team yet to score a goal.

Thanks to Joāo Pedro, Chelsea outclassed Fulham and, along with the Gunners, appear to be the Red’s main challenger. After narrowly escaping Burnley before the break, Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils could strike a season-defining win against bitter crosstown rivals at the Etihad, and Newcastle’s additions of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa should soon help right the ship after Isak’s departure. And finally, Sunderland are enjoying being back in England’s top flight after “super-sub” Wilson Isidor’s heroic 96th-minute header helped the Black Cats claw back a win from Brentford.

But before we take a look at the upcoming match storylines, here’s a look at the Premier League fixtures ahead.

How to watch the Premier League fixtures for Matchweek 4, including West Ham United vs. Tottenham Hotspur on NBC

Footy fans can catch all of the action from Matchweek 4 in the English Premier League across NBC, USA Network, and Peacock. Matches start as early as 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, and at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 14. All times are ET.

Storylines for Premier League Matchweek 4

Conor Bradley of Liverpool jumps for the ball with his head during a match.

With any rust gone as squads find their form, the stage is set for the Premier League’s thrilling return to competition. In Saturday’s early match, both Arsenal and Nottingham Forest will enter the pitch on the heels of tough losses, but Mikel Arteta knows he must get the Gunners back on track fast to catch the red-hot Reds. That said, newly appointed boss of the Tricky Trees, Ange Postecoglou, could emphatically stamp his name on the club by taking down a juggernaut like Arsenal. Bournemouth’s home advantage and defensive prowess give them the edge to propel the Cherries to their third straight win by exploiting an inconsistent Brighton. Like Bournemouth, Crystal Palace can continue their solid streak of play when they host Sunderland, but don’t expect a thrashing like they gave Aston Villa. French manager Regis Le Bris’s command of the Black Cats has been nothing short of impressive.

Now fifth in the table, Everton seeks their fourth consecutive victory in all competitions when they host Aston Villa, but as bad as Unai Emery’s side have looked this year, the Villains have won three of their last five against the Toffees, including doing the double over David Moyes’ squad last year. In the Newcastle match, the Magpies should triumph at home over the struggling Wolves, who’ve lost their first three matches and failed to net a goal in two – both away contests. Similar to the Wolves, Leeds enters the weekend seeking their first away points after grinding out a draw against Newcastle, but they shouldn’t expect a warm welcome at Craven Cottage. Fulham might be in the relegation zone, but channeling more of the grit we saw in their match against Man United could tip it to the Cottagers, who’ve won their past three matches against Leeds.

In the NBC match, Tottenham’s only dropped one of their last eight matches against West Ham and, though the fourth-placed Spurs stumbled against Bournemouth, their two shut-out wins oozed dominance. Conversely, Graham Potter’s Hammers are treading water in 16th and now have to lock horns with their former comrade Mohammed Kudus, who just signed with the Spurs. Like Tottenham, second-place Chelsea have been rolling, but the unbeaten Blues stack of injuries could derail Enzo Maresca’s side against Brentford. Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer, Liam Delap, Benoit Badiashile, and Romeo Lavia have all been sidelined. Now, new signing Dario Essugo just underwent thigh surgery. That said, the scales still favor the Blues.

To kick off Sunday’s matches, led by an eager Mohamed Salah, footy fans should expect to see Liverpool cruise to a comfortable win over Burnley, who the Reds have dominated in all five previous meetings. Though not expected, should Alexander Isak become available, the rendezvous at Turf Moor provides Arne Slot a perfect opportunity to begin integrating the Swedish striker into his game plan.

Closing out Sunday’s pair of matches is the 197th Manchester Derby at the Etihad. While Ruben Amorim and Man United are winless in their past six away league games, the Citizens have conceded goals in four of their last five home outings. Thankfully, Erling Haaland’s still walking tall, but injuries are mounting for Pep Guardiola. Phil Foden, Savinho, Joško Gvardiol, and Abdukodir Khusanov are all day-to-day, while Mateo Kovačić and Rayan Cherki are out. For Man United, Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot are all being assessed. Injuries aside, no matter who’s on the pitch, the Manchester Derby is always a must-watch battle between two bitter rivals.

Tune into NBC, USA Network, and Peacock all season long to catch the biggest matches in the English Premier League!
