It’s finally Saturday, and you know what that means: It’s about to be Saturday night.
There’s only one thing we want our Saturday nights to be, and that’s Live. The past few weeks have seen Saturday Night Live on a well-deserved winter break, and we’re all eagerly anticipating the return of new episodes with new Hosts and Musical Guests and new viral sketches to get stuck in our heads (Pinwheel, Anna!).
So what’s next, and when can we expect to see new episodes once again? The good news is that the answer is soon. So soon. SNL is about to air its first shows of 2026 with some exciting first-time headliners, and we’ve got everything you need to know below.

Yes! SNL returns from its winter hiatus tonight with an all new Host and Musical Guest.
The previous most recent new episode aired December 20, with Host Ariana Grande and Musical Guest Cher.

Finn Wolfhard and A$AP Rocky.
Wolfhard just wrapped five seasons and 10 years of playing Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things. He released his first solo album, Happy Birthday, in June 2025, and recently directed the 50th anniversary music video for George Harrison’s “Give Me Love.” This is his SNL debut, and he’s the first Host of 2026.
A$AP Rocky is also making his SNL debut as Musical Guest just one day after releasing his highly-anticipated new album Don’t Be Dumb. It’s his first album since 2018, and it features music from Danny Elfman and album art from filmmaker Tim Burton. The music video for single “Punk Rocky” features frequent Burton collaborator (and Wolfhard’s Stranger Things co-star) Winona Ryder.

Teyana Taylor and Geese.
Singer and actress Taylor just won a Golden Globe for her role in One Battle After Another. She hosts for the first time on January 24 with Musical Guest Geese.
Geese, a rockband fronted by Cameron Winter, will perform on the show for the first time.
The following week, first-timer Alexander Skarsgård will host the 1000th show with returning Musical Guest Cardi B.
