From the moment champion Aiden Ross earned a 4-Chair Turn on Season 28 of The Voice, it was clear audiences were witnessing a star on the rise.
Ross’ road to victory on The Voice was one of the season’s most compelling arcs, in large part thanks to the soulful singer’s camaraderie with Coach Niall Horan. After hopping aboard Team Niall, Ross carved out a lane entirely his own, delivering powerhouse performances that always carried an emotional punch that lingered long after the applause died down. From navigating the high-stakes Battles and Knockouts to the Live Shows, Ross stole hearts week after week, ultimately emerging as Season 28’s winner. As the Artist responsible for making Horan a three-peat champion, Ross will always be a Team Niall legend.

So, what has he been up to since the NBC competition ended? Read on to find out what Aiden Ross has been doing since winning The Voice.
Since taking home the Season 28 glory, Ross has continued sharing his love for performance with the masses on social media, sharing several iconic covers on TikTok and beyond. Ross had followers raving with his cover of One Direction’s 2014 hit “Night Changes,” and also had listeners gushing over his acoustic version of Rae Sremmurd’s bop “Black Beatles,” his cheeky version of the viral 2016 tribute trend.
Ross is also no stranger to collaborating with other performers online, delivering a dynamite cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” with Cole Swensen. Aside from the many hypnotic performances he’s shared, Ross often gives fans glimpses into his time on The Voice, posting throwbacks from his time on the competition, such as a karaoke party thrown among fellow Artists.

With thousands of listeners on Spotify, Ross has only picked up steam in building his career, delivering several singles to fans since winning The Voice. Beyond his viral covers on social media, Ross has released two original singles. His debut single, “Everything and More,” dropped in September 2025 before Ross released his second single, “Love Her Anyway,” in January 2026.
Amid the release of “Love Her Anyway,” Ross took to social media to open up about the background of the new single, revealing that he produced much of the track while competing on The Voice. “I started writing this song back home, but a lot of it came together here alone in a hotel room in L.A. while filming The Voice,” Ross shared on Instagram. “Being away from everything I knew gave me a lot of time to sit with my thoughts and write.”
Ross continued by sharing that “Love Her Anyway” is about “loving someone deeply while being scared of the uncertainty that comes with it.” Ross also gave a heartwarming shout-out to his Season 28 Coach for helping him gain the confidence to pursue his own music.
“Niall has been in my corner every step of the way,” Ross said. “From helping me choose which songs to work on to giving advice on the arrangement and production, choosing the cover art, to simply being there. I’m endlessly grateful for his mentorship and belief in me.”
“This past year changed my life. I formed relationships I’ll carry forever, learned more than I ever expected, and proved to myself that music isn’t just something I love, it’s the thing I’m meant to do,” Ross concluded. “Thank you to The Voice for giving me the opportunity to prove that to myself. I’m forever grateful. This feels like the beginning of something truly special.”

Aside from stealing hearts across the nation on The Voice, Ross is also an engineering student at Texas A&M University. Between the homework and studying, Ross continues pursuing his passion for performance, keeping in touch with Horan.
“I have a great connection with him. He has been a great mentor to me throughout this process. He also just makes the kind of music that I want to create one day,” Ross said in a December 2025 interview with Texas A&M University. “I’m not a full-time student currently, but I am still taking classes, and so finding that balance between doing my schoolwork and doing my music work has been really fun, but really interesting.”
“The dream right now is to just focus on learning and see where it takes me,” Ross said in another Texas A&M interview. “Stepping into this show at 20, I’m trying to keep and show a lot of humility. I barely have my foot in the door. I’m in this space and around people that have already found success or have toured with incredible artists or have made incredible music, so I want to soak it all up, be a sponge.”
