It’s been a busy month in the world of late night.

As Stephen Colbert prepared for his curtain call later this week, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon joined fellow late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and John Oliver in a May 11 visit to Colbert’s Late Show to pay tribute to the outgoing star, with the Strike Force Five friends commenting on the state of late-night TV.

Meyers said he likes that the current United States president tunes in as often as he does.

“The thing I like, [Trump] posts when the show aired, and I want to say I appreciate that he is watching linear television,” Meyers deadpanned before adding, “I would make my case for late-night: [it’s that] leaders of the free world are watching it when it airs.”
