Who’s Going to The Voice Season 29 Knockouts? A Guide to Teams Kelly, Legend, & Adam

The Battles are over, but The Voice: Battle of Champions is heating up!

After two nights of head-to-head duets on Season 29 of The Voice, Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine have cut their teams roughly in half, going from the 10 Artists they recruited out of the Blind Auditions to six apiece. Those 18 singers will now face off in the Knockouts, bringing them one step closer to the Finale and a chance to win The VoiceAnd for the first time ever, that winner won’t be chosen by viewers at home, but by super-fans taking in the performances in-person from the studio.

“The voting is now in-house. This is the first season that the voting is in-house. That’s never happened, which is exciting,” Clarkson explained during a press junket ahead of Season 29’s premiere. “It’s different on TV than when you’re in the room… the energy in the room is different, it sounds different, it’s a different thing… So I’m excited about that, I’m also nervous about that.”

“We’ve never seen it before,” agreed Legend, saying, “It’ll be like a little scientific experiment for figuring out how this goes.” But he’s definitely excited about the in-person aspect when it comes to the actual performances, adding, “We all know as artists and singers, it doesn’t sound as quite as good — it never has, it never will — when you’re in a room. Nothing replaces that.”

Moving through the competition also provides the Artists with chances to learn from more and more industry professionals. Of course, they have their Coaches, but those who made it to the Battles also got to meet the Battle Advisors.

This season, Team Legend worked with Muni Long, Team Kelly worked with Alumni Coach Jennifer Hudson, and Team Adam worked with Benji Madden. Now, the Artists going to the Knockouts get to meet the Mega Mentors! OG Coach CeeLo Green will help Team Legend and Team Adam, while two-time winning coach of The Voice Michael Bublé mentors Team Kelly.

Here’s how the teams stand going into the first night of Knockouts…
