La Flair delivered an electrifying performance as a professional fighter in SVU Season 27’s “Gimmick,” sending the squad on a wild chase for a conviction. Here’s what happened and where you’ve seen him before.
Before making his way to SVU, La Flair entered the NBC family as a contestant for the blood-pumping competition series American Ninja Warrior. Competing across five seasons of the hit summer competition as LaFlairParkour, the SVU guest star soared throughout the competition as a globally recognized freerunner. You can watch him in action back in 2013, here!
After raising the stakes on American Ninja Warrior, La Flair went on to guest-star in several hit series, such as Dark Prophet, Hawaii Five-O, Lethal Weapon, and NBC’s Magnum P.I. Recently, La Flair has guest-starred in series like Will Trent, The Gringo Hunters, and Rescue: HI-Surf.

La Flair made his SVU debut in Season 27’s “Gimmick” as Roddy “Razor” Ray, a bitter professional fighter who landed on the squad’s radar after a brutal murder. Razor had sent some suspicious messages to the victim, Ian Larken, and after the SVU detectives questioned him, it didn’t take long for him to grow agitated after failing to provide an alibi. After being pulled into the interrogation room, Razor maintained his innocence while still failing to have an alibi for the death of his former friend.
Razor eventually provided some helpful insight into the murder victim and the insidious underbelly surrounding professional fighting. Razor confirmed a history of abuse in his fighting circles, confessing that he was groomed and abused by some of the professional fighters he used to try to impress as a teenager. With enough support, Razor revealed that his abuser was Clint O’ Neill, but remained dubious about testifying against him.

Clint proved to be a formidable defendant after planning to use his magnetic charm in the fighting ring, leading Benson to backtrack to the one person who could verify Clint’s history of abuse: Razor. After leveling with Razor about how much Ian cared for him, Razor agreed to testify. However, once Razor got on the stand, Razor pulled a 180, claiming that he’d lied to the detectives about the sexual abuse.
Razor had been paid off, twisting his testimony after Clint’s attorney pulled strings to get Razor signed to an agency in Japan. Benson called Razor out for his actions, begging him to help prevent the cycle of abuse from continuing. But Razor was done facing down O’Neill, refusing to help authorities. The trial was a disaster, with O’Neill found not guilty on all murder charges. Justice had a morbid way of prevailing in the end, however, after O’Neill was stabbed just hours after his acquittal.
Watch Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
