The Bold and the Beautiful has Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) trying to stop Katie Logan (Heather Tom) from going after Forrester Creations. But honestly, Brooke’s antics are, I think, the only reason that Katie wants to bring Forrester Creations to its knees. And this week, Brooke oversteps when she turns to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) asking for help with Katie.
Today we’re going to talk about whether Brooke is targeting Bill, and also Katie’s marriage, to get revenge for everything Brooke has accused her little sister of doing. We have so much to talk about.
The Bold and the Beautiful: The Forresters in Deep Denial
So, we know that Katie is real tired of Brooke’s accusations, and this week she tells Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) she is going to bring Forrester Creations to its knees. And that might be in response to Brooke inviting Bill over to her house and getting him to do her bidding. Brooke is all fired up because Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) quit Forrester Creations. And of course, Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) blame Katie for luring Zende away, because Brooke, Ridge, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Eric Forrester (John McCook) refuse to accept any accountability for people leaving Forrester Creations, because it’s easier to blame Katie.
And Zende just flat-out told Ridge and Eric that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) would never have gone to Logan except she had been sidelined repeatedly at Forrester Creations. Zende also made clear he was leaving because Ridge promoted RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) above him with no justification aside from blatant nepotism. It doesn’t help that Eric keeps lying about how he wound up at Logan, when he insisted that Katie give him that job. Eric said he wanted revenge on Brooke and Ridge for dissing him. So, the Forresters are all in deep denial.
Brooke Plays the Victim on B&B
After Brooke unloaded on Katie, she went back to Forrester Creations and played victim, talking to Ridge. We heard Brooke telling Ridge that Katie stole her daughter, stole her name, and Brooke told Ridge that she’s had to be the bigger person. I’m not sure how Brooke slapping Katie, breaking things at Hope’s launch, and trying to assault Katie again shows she’s the bigger person.
Brooke told Ridge that it’s all Katie, not Bill. That’s despite Ridge and Brooke saying all along that Bill had brainwashed Katie and turned her into this. So, they’re just blame-shifting. Ridge said they have to do whatever it takes to save Forrester Creations.
Bold and Beautiful: Brooke Turns to Bill
And then Brooke sent a text, and at home, she was thinking about what Ridge said before Bill showed up because of her text. So, Brooke said she needs his help with Katie, and she tells Bill he’s got to help her stop Katie. Shockingly, Bill goes back to Katie after this and says he thinks they should back off Forrester Creations. Katie’s shocked. She’s annoyed. She asks Bill what’s going on.
This conversation with Brooke seems to me like she’s working on Bill to see if he’ll still do what she wants. And this might be the tip of the iceberg. We know Brooke isn’t going to get results out of this chat, because when Bill goes back to Katie, she demands to know why he changed his tune. And when Bill says he went over to Brooke’s house, I expect Katie will snap. She is not going to back down, and instead, she may double down.
But honestly, Forrester Creations has decades of experience. They have top designers, Ridge and Eric. They have the best materials, an international reputation, and Katie’s running this little startup. She cannot take them down. What is happening is Forrester Creations is destroying itself by treating people poorly and driving them away, ruining their public reputation. But when Brooke doesn’t get what she wants from this first time trying to use Bill, I suspect that Brooke might go even lower, since Ridge endorsed doing whatever it takes.
Brooke’s History of Stealing on B&B
Brooke claims that Katie is stealing everything from Forrester Creations: Hope, Zende, and even the Logan name. But let’s think about what Brooke has stolen. She took Ridge from Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) more than once. Plus, Brooke stole Ridge from the original Caroline Spencer way back in the day. Brooke seduced Eric away from Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). She stole Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) from Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones). She stole Bill from Katie more than once. So, Brooke griping about stealing people is the height of irony.
And I could see her deciding that Katie has to be stopped no matter what. And Brooke may toy with Bill to intentionally wreck Katie’s marriage and teach her a lesson. Brooke may think if Bill and Katie split, then Logan‘s dead in the water. Problem solved. Bill has been gung-ho about destroying the Forresters for more than a decade. So, him telling Katie to ease up on them is ridiculous. But Brooke knows exactly how to play Bill and may get her hooks into him again.
But I’m sure Katie’s going to realize that’s what’s happening. I expect her to rant at Bill that he got played and that Brooke’s using him. But Bill’s got a big ego, and he may not want to admit it. Although Brooke’s happily married to Ridge, she might try and lure Bill from Katie, thinking she can break them up without technically cheating. Brooke may plot to win over Bill and then ask Katie, “How does it feel to have something stolen from you?”
Brooke and Bill’s Secret Room Flashback on Bold
This would not be the first time Brooke and Bill have played a game like this where Katie was involved and they didn’t actually do the deed. I don’t know if you remember ten years ago, although according to Brooke, that’s ancient history, right? But back in 2016, when Bill was last married to Katie, he built a secret room at Spencer Publications right off his office that he claimed was for naps and meditation. But Bill was sneaking Brooke in there, and they were doing everything else, but she and Bill stopped just short of sex.
Brooke and Bill rationalized that it wasn’t really cheating because, you know, no penetration. And in fact, that’s kind of how Brooke tried to explain it to Katie when she caught them and raged at Brooke. So she told Katie it wasn’t a big deal because they weren’t actually having sex. And it was a huge deal. So Katie called out Brooke for sneaking and lying and engaging in an emotional affair.
But it was more than that. Bill and Brooke were kissing, touching, and stopping just short of the actual deed. That was where the line was drawn. Everything else was on the table. So, it was cheating, no doubt. And I think she might do it again for revenge on Katie. Only this time, if Brooke does it, she might have to try the same justification with Ridge. “Honey, I wasn’t having sex with Bill. I was just kissing and touching him to ruin his marriage to Katie so I could destroy her fashion house. Remember, Ridge, you said whatever it takes.”
The Bold and the Beautiful: Huge Consequences Ahead
The first meeting this week with Brooke and Bill might be her testing the waters, so Brooke can see if Bill will still do her bidding. Brooke may even think she can rip Katie’s marriage apart without ruining her own marriage to Ridge, so long as Bill is not sexing Brooke up. She wants to take Katie down. And a recent fall spoiler said Brooke has a storyline of her own coming up that is going to have huge consequences.
Obviously, she’s not going to be in a storyline alone. And the Katie stuff, that’s nothing new, but something with Brooke and Bill, that would be new. And if Brooke crosses lines with Bill looking for revenge, even if they stop short of sex, it will have huge consequences. Katie is going to be furious at Bill. And I cannot imagine that Ridge will tolerate this from Brooke. But she might think she can manipulate Ridge, too, because, let’s be honest, Brooke usually can.
