What records did Norway’s Johannes Høsflot Klæbo set at the 2026 Olympics?
The 29-year-old cross-country skier began his 2026 run with a February 8 gold medal-winning performance in the Men’s 10km + 10km Skiathlon and never looked back, ultimately winning an impressive 6 gold medals overall, one for each event that he competed in this year’s Games.
With the clean sweep, Klæbo became the Olympian athlete with the most gold medals earned in a single Winter Olympics — ever.
Previously, the record was held by U.S. speed skater Eric Heiden, who earned five in the Lake Placid 1980 Winter Olympics.
Klæbo now has more gold medals than any other Winter Olympics athlete.
