The Bold and the Beautiful has Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) accepting an offer from Eric Forrester (John McCook) that will keep him at the family business. But I expect that Ridge Forrester‘s (Thorsten Kaye) actions may drive Zende away, and he may circle back to that job offer from House of Logan.
We are going to dive into why Katie Logan (Heather Tom) might still get what she wants, and Zende may join her design house by the end of the week. Let’s discuss the Forresters making a huge misstep that could tank their family company.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Eric’s Secret Deal with Zende
So, we saw Ridge has been treating Zende like he’s the one being unreasonable. Because Ridge let RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) leapfrog past Zende into a lead design position overseeing the Electra youth line. Ridge thinks Zende just needs to be patient and wait his turn. Ridge is so high-handed. Because it already was Zende’s turn. And that’s why Ridge made Zende lead designer of Hope for the Future, the youth line. Just because they changed the muse from Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) doesn’t mean the lead designer should change.
Eric is Desperate on B&B
So now Eric is desperate to keep Zende at the family business. And with Ridge not in the room, and without Eric even checking with Ridge or Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), we saw Eric tell Zende, “Okay, fine. Now you’re the lead designer of the Electra line.” That’s what it took for Eric to convince Zende to stay. So he did it. And then Eric told Zende he would deal with RJ. But as of now, Eric hasn’t told Ridge or RJ about the promise he made to Zende. But it’s all about to come out.
RJ and Electra ganged up on Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) and demanded Ridge fire her. Zende said no. He wants her to stay. I mean, Electra only overheard part of Dylan and Zende’s conversation. So, for Ridge to take Electra’s word over Zende’s is insulting. And on Monday’s episode, Ridge went ahead and told Dylan to pack her stuff because she is fired. And Electra was so smug and so happy while RJ was standing there smirking, and Zende was really annoyed with Ridge.
Bold and the Beautiful: Zende’s Ultimatum
So, this week, there’s a lot of big stuff happening with Zende. First, he is going to give Ridge an ultimatum, and it is about Dylan. So, Zende has this newfound lead designer power he got from Eric. Zende is telling Ridge that what he says goes, and then Zende says that Dylan stays. They can’t fire her. But then RJ and Electra explode. They insist Dylan has to go. They say she can’t be trusted.
And I also expect that Ridge’s ego won’t be able to handle Zende pushing back with this ultimatum and trying to override him. I am certain that when Zende says, “What I say goes,” Ridge is going to ask, “What does that mean?” And it may be down to Zende to reveal to Ridge, RJ, and Electra that Eric has made him the lead designer of the Electra line.
Bold and Beautiful: Ridge Pushes Back
And you know RJ and Electra are going to flip, and Ridge probably will too. Because Eric’s not the CEO of Forrester Creations. Ridge forcibly retired Eric last year. So, you know, Ridge has very little respect for his dad’s authority to make business decisions at his company. So, I do think Ridge may push back and tell Zende that Eric should have run it by him.
RJ, of course, is going to have a fit to find out Eric told Zende that he’s the lead designer. Because RJ kept calling it his line, and then his and Electra’s line, “our line.” And then when he found out Zende was pushing back, RJ and Electra just gave Zende lip service and said, “Oh, you’re important.” But it was BS. I think Ridge is going to throw a tantrum. I think RJ’s going to throw a tantrum, and Ridge may override Eric’s decision. So, Ridge may say, “Sorry, Zende. No, you are not lead designer on the Electra line. It is RJ.”
Zende at Risk of Leaving on B&B
And on Monday’s episode, Katie and Hope were really disappointed. Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) were there for it when Zende called and told Katie he appreciates the job offer, but he’s staying at Forrester Creations because he has Eric’s backing. Thing is, Ridge and Steffy are co-CEOs, and Ridge thinks RJ walks on water. So, Eric’s backing doesn’t mean as much as Zende thinks it does. Katie already warned him, but Zende has faith.
This week, Zende’s ranting at Ridge, saying he can’t believe that Ridge is siding with RJ and Electra over him. I believe it. Sounds like Ridge. And on Wednesday, official The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say the Logan team gets unexpected news. And it may be exactly what Katie’s been hoping for.
Because if RJ pitches a fit and Ridge says Dylan is fired and reverses Zende as lead designer, I think the Forresters are going to lose him. Because the lead designer offer was the only reason Zende relented and told Eric he’d stay. So, if Ridge undoes that, I suspect Zende will say, “That’s it. I’m out.” And if Ridge reneges on the offer, I think Eric will be really embarrassed. Because that’s basically Ridge disrespecting Eric.
And this could be a real disaster for the Forresters. Not only will Zende leaving really hurt the Electra youth line that Forrester Creations needs to recover from their sales slump. But also Zende going over to Logan will boost Katie’s business. So, it’s a double blow if they don’t keep Zende.
Brooke and Katie Clash on Bold
On Friday, other Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) makes an appeal to Katie. So, I’m wondering if Brooke shows up and asks Katie, “Take back the job offer to Zende and send him back to Forrester Creations.” If indeed Ridge takes Zende off and he says yes to Katie’s job offer, I could see Brooke complaining that Katie never should have made an offer to Zende.
I expect Brooke to lecture Katie about betrayal, not understanding the importance of family loyalty, being a traitor, being a total Spencer who forgot her ethics and values, yada yada, you know, the usual stuff that she says. And I think when Brooke blathers at Katie, she’s going to push back on her big sister. If Brooke asks Katie to take back the offer to Zende, I know Katie will not agree. And then we know that Brooke tells Katie this week, in front of Hope, that she is now even more certain that Katie is out for revenge.
Bold and the Beautiful: Brooke’s Motives
So it sounds like Brooke is acting like hiring Zende is only being done to hurt the Forresters and make them bleed. But Katie’s take on things, and Hope agrees, is that they’re offering a safe haven for people that the Forresters have treated badly. Katie was the first to be sidelined. Brooke and Ridge brought in an outside PR firm without even talking to Katie about it. Brooke decided Katie had too much stress to do her job, and she was so offended. And then Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) gave Katie a design firm so she wouldn’t have to answer to Ridge and Brooke again after that.
Then Ridge sidelined Eric, basically firing him from his own company, and that’s why Eric went over to Logan, even though Ridge finally talked him into coming back. And then, of course, Hope was tired of years of her line being delayed and sidelined and Steffy basically kicking Hope around, and so she left for very good reason. So, I suspect that Katie thinks Zende deserves a safe place to land where he’s valued, where he’s appreciated, where he is respected. And I think Katie will tell Brooke that.
So, we’ll see, because if Ridge overrides Eric’s decision and takes back Zende being named lead designer on the Electra line, I think that’s it. If Ridge does that, I think Zende is going to walk out the door and walk right in the door at House of Logan.
