The Bold and the Beautiful reveals that Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) knows Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) went ahead with the fertilization procedure, I do not think it’s going to be too long before Carter goes ahead and tells Daphne that Steffy is pregnant.
Even though we know all of this, the whole surrogacy thing, the procedure is all a lie. Today we’re going to talk about Carter shocking Daphne with another bombshell. And I think he’s going to say that Steffy’s already carrying their child.
Bold and the Beautiful: Daphne in Shock
All right, so we all just saw Daphne’s jaw drop with Carter telling his wife that he and Steffy went ahead with the fertilization procedure and as expected, Carter fibbed and said it was a matter of the timing just working out. Of course, Daphne was blindsided. Because she was left out of it. She confronted Carter and Steffy and we saw Daphne with mixed emotions. She’s really happy that the process was started and that they are one step closer that to she and Carter welcoming a baby into the world.
However, Daphne expected this to be a process carried out over months with her involvement and she acknowledged that Steffy is an amazing friend to do this. Daphne said Steffy is an extraordinary person, which of course made Steffy feel so much worse. Because she’s lying to her best friend’s face. But at the same time, Daphne was upset that Carter and Steffy did not tell her so that she could be a part of it.
If Daphne Only Knew
Daphne was shocked and could not believe they left her out of the whole thing. And she wanted to know how Carter and Steffy could do that to her. Of course, if Daphne knew the extent of what Carter and Steffy really did behind her back, I think Daphne would be far more upset than she even is right now.
And of course, we all know Carter is pushing this. That’s because there was no procedure needed because Steffy’s already pregnant and the clock is ticking because they made a baby when she and Carter drunkenly cheated. So, Daphne is still processing that Steffy had the procedure done and Daphne’s already feeling very shell shocked and I expect that Carter will waste no time moving things along.
Bold and Beautiful: Carter Out of Control
Steffy still wants to confess and she tries to do it this week. But Carter again is talking over Steffy and gaslighting Daphne, saying they can rush to make her baby dream come true. Carter’s being so pushy, and I think it’s barely going to sink in for Daphne before Carter is then telling Daphne that Steffy is pregnant. So, Daphne’s head’s going to be spinning because Carter’s pushing fast, fast, fast.
And of course, it is what Daphne wants. She wants this baby, but it’s going at this rate that she just can not process. And Carter is not done with the blindsides. I suspect he will not wait. Maybe he’s going to pull the rug out from under Steffy. I think he’s going to shock Daphne again soon. And I suspect what’s going to happen is Carter is going to take it upon himself. I think he’s going to bypass Steffy and tell Daphne, “Oh, great news. Steffy took a pregnancy test and it’s positive.”
Steffy Blindsided on B&B
I do not think Carter is even going to warn Steffy because Carter is worried that Steffy’s going to do one of her, “Oh, I need to confess things.” You know, the moments that Carter keeps shutting down. So, he may just tell Daphne himself and then I’m sure she’ll ask Steffy, “Oh, can I see the positive pregnancy test?”
You know, she took three, so maybe she’s got one sitting around. Maybe she threw them all out. If Carter knows where Steffy has a positive test, maybe in her bag or in her desk drawer, I could see Carter stealing it and just showing Daphne or Carter just tells her that Steffy took a test and if Daphne has to see it, you know, Steffy could just take a new one for Daphne.
I mean, to be honest, Carter does not even need the test. He could just blab and he could tell Daphne, “Oh, yay, the procedure worked.” and he can say that Steffy went to the doctor and they confirmed the pregnancy instead of even bringing up a home pregnancy test. Carter wants to basically make sure that Steffy’s trapped into this scheme and has no way out.
Steffy is Trapped on Bold
And once Carter blabs to Daphne that Steffy’s pregnant, then she’s going to have to tell Finn (Tanner Novlan) and there’s going to be nothing Steffy can do. She’s too far into the crazy scheme to back out. Finn’s back from his convention soon and Steffy’s going to have to commit to the lie. Tell him she was fertilized. We know from The Bold and the Beautiful October spoilers that Finn is irritated as Steffy’s trying to make it up to Finn with a romantic surprise.
And of course, Carter does not seem to care how hard this is on Steffy. Carter is thinking about himself and what he will lose. So, he’s bullying Steffy. And Carter thinks if he pushes hard enough that Steffy will cave and just carry on with the scheme and hand her baby over to him and Daphne. And I’m sure as this goes on, Steffy is going to be a complete mess.
Bold and the Beautiful: Steffy Falls Apart
Steffy is going to be tormented because there are months of lies ahead of her. Carter has put her in this position of basically having something traumatic happen to her. I suspect it’s going to be devastating for Steffy every day of this pregnancy until she gives birth and then to have to give up her child. That is unimaginable.
It’s like Carter is asking her to hand over Hayes (Bryan David Garlick) or Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay) to him and Daphne. It’s the same thing – it’s a kid of hers. And I honestly do not think Steffy’s going to be able to go through with it in the end. We’ll see. I would be shocked if she does not crack at some point. It may be late in the pregnancy. Maybe even at the point that she gives birth to Carter’s child and that’s when she finally comes clean. I just do not see Steffy living longterm with Carter’s crooked surrogacy scheme.
Someone Learns the Truth on Bold and the Beautiful
I’m sure at some point it is going to start to fall apart. For now though, Daphne is shocked this week over finding out her husband gave up his sperm to fertilize Steffy’s egg. And then I think Carter is going to move very rapidly into phase two. I bet it’ll be a week, maybe two at the most before he tells Daphne that Steffy is confirmed pregnant. Plus, Carter and Steffy keep having all these discussions about their cheating night up at the office and somebody may overhear them.
Maybe Daphne, maybe Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). We’ll see. But now it’s all in motion because Daphne knows the procedure was done. And of course, we all know Steffy’s pregnant. We’ve got November sweeps kicking off on October twenty-ninth, so a little over three weeks. And I think that Carter and Steffy’s baby story is going to hit high gear. I do suspect somebody else finds out the truth about Carter getting Steffy pregnant before Finn and Daphne find out. Maybe it’s Ridge, maybe it’s Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig). If it’s Ridge, maybe he finds out by eavesdropping.
Things Take a Messy Turn on B&B
If it’s Taylor, it could be because Steffy breaks down and tells her mom. But very soon, we’re going to see Carter telling Daphne their baby is officially on the way. And there’s nothing Steffy can do to stop what’s already in motion without blowing up her life, you know. And after that, Daphne is going to start decorating the nursery, buying little onesies, and where it gets really messy is future doctor’s appointments. As Steffy’s pregnancy progresses, you know, Daphne’s going to insist on being part of things.
She’ll want to see the sonograms, be there to hear the heartbeat, which is a problem because the timing is off by several weeks, and Finn is a doctor. So, I think Steffy’s right about them getting caught. But for now, Carter is again painting Steffy into a corner, and I think it’s going to be with a pregnancy announcement. I think Finn’s going to be frustrated. Daphne’s going to be overjoyed. And neither have any idea major heartache is headed their way.
