Jennifer Lopez traded her bombshell glamour for gangster chic at Milan Fashion Week.

The singer and actress arrived at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2027 show on September 26 in a sharp three-piece suit inspired by Thomas Shelby of “Peaky Blinders.”

The look capped a week of dramatic Dolce & Gabbana moments in Milan.

Lopez Gives Thomas Shelby’s Signature Style A Glamorous Twist

Lopez turned heads at Dolce & Gabbana’s runway show on September 26 with a look that seemed lifted straight from 1920s Birmingham.

She wore a black velvet three-piece suit over a crisp white shirt, finished with a slim black tie. She paired the tailored outfit with knee-high black velvet boots and a matching paperboy cap, the accessory most closely tied to the character’s signature style.

Although the outfit drew on Thomas Shelby’s classic 1920s style, Lopez added her own glamorous touch, giving it a distinct J.Lo look.

She shared photos of the ensemble on Instagram and captioned the post, “Living my Thomas Shelby fantasy.”

Thomas Shelby was the fictional leader of the Shelby family in the BBC crime drama “Peaky Blinders,” which ran for six seasons from 2013 to 2022.

Played by Cillian Murphy, the sharp-suited gangster operated in post-World War I Birmingham, England.

Over the course of the series, Shelby became one of television’s most recognizable characters, and his wardrobe played a big part in that. His tailored three-piece suits and flat caps became his trademark.

Lopez acknowledged the connection when she stepped out in Milan, as her caption made clear.

Dolce & Gabbana dressed Lopez throughout her Milan takeover. Her run began with a ’70s-inspired outfit featuring a white shirt, flared trousers, and platform shoes.

She then went full Italian glamour for Vogue World: Milano, wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana couture gown covered in intricate embellishments. She accessorized with sheer opera gloves and a striking Paraíba tourmaline necklace.

The following day, Lopez continued her Milan appearances in animal print, wearing a cropped leopard-print trench with matching shorts and coordinating footwear. Vogue described her Milan wardrobe as embracing the Italian brand’s maximalist aesthetic.

After the show, she changed into a sheer black lace dress over black lingerie for the Dolce & Gabbana after-party. The gown featured a plunging neckline and a delicate lace hem. She finished the look with a fur coat, heels, and statement jewelry.

Lopez ditched her signature glam for a makeup-free Instagram Stories video about her twins leaving for college.

Wearing a key lime green silk slip trimmed with sheer white lace, she wished her followers a “beautiful morning” during her skincare routine.

“I was thinking about routines because I’m sure a lot of people are going through this out there. My kids are going away to college,” she said.

The “On the Floor” singer called the new chapter “scary.”

“When they go away, and I’m sitting here, being an empty nester, and crying, and thinking about them, and looking at baby pictures of them, and all that stuff, these routines are the things that are gonna keep me kind of sane,” she said.

Lopez then encouraged herself and others going through a similar transition to revisit interests they set aside while raising children.

Lopez made the most of her last months before college with Max and Oskar, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

In August, she took the twins on a family road trip through Italy and shared photos with the caption, “Road tripping with my coconuts before they head off to college.”

The twins graduated from high school this year and got into all five colleges they applied to, each earning a scholarship.

During her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the singer admitted that she had never pictured a time without the twins at home. “It’s been the three of us,” she said.

She even joked that the twins would miss her cooking and come home quickly.
