Marcellin Auzolle (1862–1942) was a French painter and poster artist known for his colorful and inventive commercial designs during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Working primarily between the 1890s and 1930s, Auzolle created nearly fifty posters for products ranging from absinthe and biscuits to automobiles and theatrical events. One of his most historically significant works is the 1896 Cinématographe Lumière poster, widely regarded as the first advertising poster for a film projected in a theater.
