As Ice T gets ready for his scenes as the iconic Odafin “Fin” Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, his wife Coco Austin pulls out the sweetest gesture before cameras start rolling on set.

When Ice T’s SVU co-star Kevin Kane sat down for an interview on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast in May 2026, he revealed that Austin is a regular visitor on set and gushed about the couple’s sweet and supportive relationship. Kane, who plays Detective Terry Bruno, also shared how Austin helps her hubby behind the scenes.

“She’s the best,” Kane said of Austin. “She types his lines… his notes into his iPhone for him every day. They’re like, the best.”

The best, indeed. The couple has been married since 2001 and have been inseparable ever since, and stories like these just reinforce how strongly fans feel about their adorable bond that is still going strong over two-and-a-half decades later.

Austin is not only a regular visitor on the set of SVU, often bringing along the couple’s daughter Chanel, she’s also guest-starred on a number of episodes and a poster-sized photo of her is on display in Ice T’s dressing room

In a 2024 interview with NBC Insider, Ice T shared how he and Austin prepared for one of her SVU roles, which featured him interrogating her. “We practiced it a lot at home, but I told her, ‘Once we get on the set, I’m not gonna be able to say anything to you. You’re being handled by the director,'” he said. “So we did our little homework, and she hit the set, she killed it.”
